Shopee usually encourages sellers to use Shopee Supported Logistics (SSL) because it comes with built-in perks like automatic shipping fee calculation, free shipping subsidies, and easy airway bill (AWB) printing.
But what if your products don’t fit Shopee’s logistics model like bulky furniture, fresh produce, or digital goods?

What Are Seller’s Own Fleet and Virtual Goods Shipping Channels?
Shopee provides two special shipping options for sellers whose products don’t fit into the standard Shopee Supported Logistics (SSL) system:
1. Seller’s Own Fleet (West & East Malaysia)
This channel is for sellers who deliver using their own vehicles or work with other logistics providers outside of Shopee’s partnered couriers. It’s especially useful if you sell:
-
Bulky items like furniture or gym equipment
-
Fresh or perishable goods such as seafood, fruits, and cakes
-
Products that require installation, like air-conditioners

2. Virtual Goods (VG)
This channel is designed for digital products that don’t require physical shipping, such as:
-
Event tickets
-
Digital vouchers or coupons
-
E-books, online subscriptions, or prepaid codes
With VG, buyers can receive their purchases instantly or via email/Shopee chat, without needing a courier.
Once Shopee approves your application, these channels will appear in your Shopee Seller Centre, and you can switch them on for the listings that qualify.
Who Can Apply?
Not every seller is eligible for the Seller’s Own Fleet (SOF) or Virtual Goods (VG) shipping channels. Shopee will only approve applications if you can show a valid business reason and provide supporting documents.
You may qualify if your store sells:
-
Bulky items – such as furniture, large appliances, or gym equipment that regular couriers can’t easily handle
-
Fresh goods – like seafood, meat, or vegetables that need same-day or controlled delivery
-
Perishables – items with a short shelf life, for example cakes, pastries, or flower arrangements
-
Products requiring installation – such as air-conditioners, water filters, or large electronics
-
Virtual products – including online vouchers, e-tickets, subscription codes, or e-books
-
Other unsupported items – any products that Shopee’s logistics partners cannot accommodate
If your products do not fall into one of the categories above, it’s best to continue using Shopee Supported Logistics (SSL) instead. That way, you’ll still enjoy perks like free shipping subsidies, automated shipping fee calculation, and easy airway bill (AWB) printing.
What Service Standards Do You Need to Maintain?
Since April 2024, Shopee has enforced stricter policies to prevent misuse of SOF/VG channels. If you’re approved, you’ll need to follow these service standards to stay eligible:
Performance Metrics (last 30 days)
-
Order volume/GMV: At least 25 net orders or an average daily GMV of RM100
-
Chat response rate: Must be above 85%
- Return/refund rate: Must stay below 5%

Operational Rules
-
You can only use SOF/VG for the specific listings Shopee approved.
-
You must provide proof of delivery for every order. This can be a tracking number, or if not available, clear communication records (e.g., Shopee chat or email) with the buyer.
-
Once approved, you cannot edit product details for those listings.
What Happens If You Fail to Comply
If you don’t meet these standards, Shopee may:
-
Remove your access to SOF/VG channels
-
Delist the affected products
-
Penalise your account, especially for serious issues like selling counterfeit items
What You’ll Need to Apply
To make sure only eligible sellers use these channels, Shopee requires certain documents when you apply. These documents help verify your identity, business registration, and your delivery setup.
General Requirements (for all applicants)
-
Malaysian Identity Card (IC): A clear photo of the front side of your IC, taken directly from the camera (no scans, photocopies, or edited images).
-
SSM Business Document (must be valid for at least 6 months):
-
ROC/ROB certificate
-
Borang D or Borang E
-
Business/Company Profile
-
Extra Requirements for Virtual Goods (VG)
If you’re applying for the Virtual Goods channel, you’ll need to provide:
-
A valid product listing link showing the item is a digital product
-
The correct product category set to “Virtual Goods”
Extra Requirements for Seller’s Own Fleet (SOF)
If you’re applying for Seller’s Own Fleet, you’ll also need to show proof that you can handle your own deliveries:
-
Vehicle ownership certificate or proof of partnership with a logistics provider
-
Photo of your delivery vehicle with a clearly visible number plate
-
Service Level Agreement (SLA), pickup manifest, or a sample proof of delivery (POD)
-
Reason for not using Shopee Supported Logistics (e.g., bulky products, perishables)

How to Apply
Applying for the Seller’s Own Fleet (SOF) or Virtual Goods (VG) channel is simple, but you’ll need to prepare your documents in advance.
Step 1: Fill in the Application Form
Go to the official form here → Shopee Shipping Channel Application
Step 2: Upload Required Documents
Depending on which channel you’re applying for, you’ll need to upload:
-
IC & SSM documents (required for all sellers)
-
For SOF: Vehicle/logistics documents, proof of delivery samples, etc.
-
For VG: Product listing link and correct “Virtual Goods” category

Step 3: Submit Your Application
Double-check that all the information is accurate and documents are clear before submitting.
Step 4: Wait for Approval
Shopee reviews applications twice a week. You’ll usually receive a response by the next Tuesday or Friday via email or Seller Centre announcement.
Note: If your shop has no orders for 30 consecutive days, your SOF/VG channel will be automatically removed.
